In 1968 the Society of Merchant Venturers (SMV) was appointed Trustee for the Cote Charity, bringing to the organisation their vast experience and resources in providing care for older people. SMV continues to play a hands-on role in the governance and strategic development of the Cote Charity today. In order to provide high quality, purpose-built accommodation for older people, Katherine House was opened in the grounds of Cote House in 2009, with Griffiths House following in 2016 as a sister home dedicated to providing high quality dementia care. The work undertaken by the Cote Charity is also supported by the Grateful Society which provides valuable resources and funds, enhancing the care provided to our residents.

To find out more about the Society of Merchant Venturers, please visit the website www.merchantventurers.com.

To learn more about SMV’s most recent activities, please read their Annual Review.

If you would like to discuss a place for yourself or your relative, please contact us to arrange a visit.
We would be delighted to tell you more about our wonderful home.
